We are delighted to announce that the 11th Romanian-German Symposium of Gastroenterology will take place on May 22, 2026, in Cluj, Romania. Building on the tradition of the previous editions, this symposium remains a bridge between Romanian and German gastroenterology, encouraging dialogue, cooperation, and professional exchange.

The Romanian-German Symposium of Gastroenterology was founded with the clear mission to promote knowledge sharing and mutual learning between the two countries. Over the years, it has become a respected platform where participants can debate scientific advances, clinical approaches, and modern technologies in gastroenterology and hepatology. Each edition offers an opportunity not only to discuss the latest evidence-based practices, but also to explore different perspectives shaped by the healthcare systems and professional experiences in Romania and Germany.

The 2026 program will feature renowned lecturers from both countries, highlighting the bilateral dimension of the event. As in previous years, there will also be an electronic poster session, designed especially for young specialists and researchers, providing visibility to their scientific work and fostering mentorship and collaboration.

We strongly believe that the Romanian-German exchange of experience represents an invaluable resource for advancing our specialty. By working together, we can identify common challenges, learn from different approaches, and strengthen our professional and personal ties across borders.
